This rare footage “Chasing Ice” is recognized as the largest glacier calving event ever captures on film by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Adam LeWinter and Director Jeff Orlowski filmed this event at the Ilulissat Glacier in Western Greenland.
Exposure Labs said the event lasted for 75 minutes. During that time, glacier retreated a full mile across a calving face three miles wide. The height of the ice is about 3,000 feet, with 300-400 feet above water and the rest below water.
It’s truly incredible to watch.
